Submission Policy
Dust Collective is accepting proposals for publication in spring/summer 2026 until mid-October.
Dust Collective publishes handmade and small edition photography books. We accept a limited number of projects each year and carefully consider how each proposal aligns with our publishing mission. You are encouraged to become familiar with the Dust Collective catalog to determine if your work is an appropriate fit.

Who We Publish:
Dust Collective seeks project proposals from anyone and everywhere. We are interested in working with artists whose work resonates with us. We prioritize projects that are complete or close to completion.What to Submit:
Please send the following materials in a single PDF file:A project statement (up to 500 words) Specify if you are proposing a commercially printed edition, or a handmade special edition. More information here: Printing Information
Project support information about this body of work, including possible funding sources, exhibitions, grants, events, etc.
A selection of 15–20 images
A short artist bio
How to Submit:
Email your submission to emily@dustcollective.net with the subject line: Book Proposal – [Your Name]. We accept submissions on a rolling basis but we review new work twice per year. Deadline is mid-October for spring 2026, and mid-March for Autumn 2026.Edition Size and Production:
Dust Collective publishes handmade or small edition books, often with unique production qualities. If your project is selected, we will work collaboratively on design, materials, and edition size. Though the print runs and distribution is on a small scale, artists who publish with Dust Collective receive a thoughtful, well-designed, and meaningful book at the end of this process.Rights and Ownership:
Artists retain full copyright of their work.

We are not able to provide feedback on all submissions. If your work is not selected, it does not reflect on its quality. Submissions are only accepted via email. We do not accept paper submissions, nor do we schedule meetings to review work. Our capacity is very limited, and our selection process is guided by cohesion with our mission and schedule.
